Decoración Navidad / Christmas decorations

Como este año no celebraré Navidad, decidí tampoco decorar, así que les comparto las fotos de la decoración del año pasado :)

Since this year I wont be celebrating Christmas, I decided not to decorate the house, because of that, I share with you lasts year decorations :)

He vuelto! / I´m back!

El viaje a Chile fue maravilloso! Chile es un país hermoso, me encantó, espero poder regresar algún día...

Chile is wonderfull! It´s a beautiful country, I love it, I hope I can go to Chile again....

Hemos visitado el puerto de Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, y Santiago de Chile.  Nos hospedamos en  el Hostal Portobello . Quedé maravillada! Me encantó el lugar, su ubicación, sus servicios, la atención del propietario y de su esposa. Realmente me hicieron sentir en casa, con libertad y buen servicio. Si no sabes a donde ir, o qué lugares visitar, puedes preguntarle al dueño, Claudio, o a su linda esposa y ellos podrán recomendarte lugares hermosos para conocer, y podrán decirte cómo llegar a ellos así como un poco de historia del lugar, me encantó conocer la ciudad a través de los ojos de alguien que ama su cuidad. Nuestra habitación fue la Burdeos y me encantó, con sus techos altos, la vista al mar, el piso de madera, el color de las paredes... Me gustó la ubicación del hotel, a un lado del Museo Naval y  el paseo 21 de mayo, en donde pudimos comprar artesanías hermosas! Les dejo el link al hostal por si quieren conocerlo, las fotos de la página están lindas pero, no son tan actuales, para mi gusto, el hostal está mejor ahora, con ligeros cambios en la decoración que me encantaron:   Hostal Portobello

We´ve visited Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and Santiago de Chile. We stayed at the Hostal Portobello. What a wonderfull place, the owner and his wife are great, they made us feel at home. If you don´t know where to go, you can ask Claudio, the owner or  her beautiful wife and they will recomend you places to visit, and they can tell you about the history of the town. It was great because they love their town, so, they always have something to say or recomend.  Our room was "Burdeos Room" and I loved it, the tall ceilings, the color of the walls, the view, the wood floor, it´s near from the Navy Museum, and a street called 21 de mayo, where we bought beautiful things from Chile... Valparaíso es una ciudad hermosa, aunque en mi opinión, debes de tener un poco de buena condición física, porque, es una ciudad que está en cerros y hay que subir y bajar muchas escaleras, pero vale la pena.. el clima me encantó también, apesar de ser verano en esta época del año, no hacía mucho calor 

Valparaíso it´s a beautiful city, you need to do some exercise, there are many stairs!! The weather was great too, not too hot :D

Noticias! / Two great news!

La primera noticia es que mi máquina ya funciona!!  Yupi! Podré seguir cosiendo! Me alegra, me estaba volviendo loca!

First: My sewing machine is not sick anymore!! yyyeeeiii!! I can sew again!! I´m sooo happy...

La segunda noticia es que  en poco más de ocho días estaré visitando un lugar totalmente nuevo para mí: Valparaíso, Chile! Estoy tan emocionada!!! Apenas puedo esperar!

Second:  The next weekend I´ll be going to Valparaíso, Chile, I´m sooo excited, I´ve never been there, it´s going to be an adventure for  me!!

Proyectos de Navidad /Christmas Projects

Estos días he estado trajabando en un par de proyectos navideños, la mala noticia es que mi máquina de coser está enferma, no sé que le pasó! simplemente, no quiere trabajar!Espero encontrar pronto alguien que pueda repararla! :(

These days I´ve been working in two Christmas projects, they are almost finished, but the bad news are that... my sewing machine wont sew.. why? I don´t Know :( I hope I can find someone that can fix it!

A mi esposo y a mi nos gusta salir a caminar con Dexter por las tardes. A veces nos encontramos con insectos con hermosos colores y texturas...

My husband and I enjoy going out for a walk with Dexter. Sometimes we find insects with beautiful colors and textures...

Día de Muertos

 

Feliz Día de Muertos! En Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, mi esposo y yo fuimos al Mercado, estaba lleno de dulces, chocolate, flores y pan de muerto. 

Aquí, en Oaxaca, este es el Pan de Muerto tradiocional, no es tan dulce como el otro y le ponen una carita, y forman con el pan el cuerpo del muertito :)

Happy Halloween! In Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, my husband and I went to the Market, it was full of candies, chocolate, flowers and "pan de muerto". Here, in Oaxaca, this is the traditional "Pan de Muerto", it is not as sweet as the other one. Do you see the face and the arm? :)

Scraps

Con retazos de proyectos anteriores decidí hacer una funda para mi tablet, me gusta llevarla en mi bolsa cuando salgo a tomar un café, porque aprovecho para leer un buen libro.. :)

With scraps I made this tablet case, I like to take it in my bag when I go out for a coffee, I like reading while I drink it! :)

Dexter tiene 3 años :) y aquí entre nos, es el verdadero dueño de la casa, el coche.... todo...

Dexter is 3 years old, he is the real owner of the house, the car, everything...

 

Dexter ama la comida, pasear y el aire acondicionado .Odia jugar con la pelota y bañarse :)

Dexter loves the food and long walks. He hates playing with a ball and bath time :(

Chocolate

Hace algunos días, mi esposo y yo fuimos a Juchitán de nuevo.  Todos empiezan a prepararse para festejar el Día de Muertos. Oaxaca es famoso por su chocolate caliente. Aquí se toma preparado con leche o con agua. Las esposas compran las semillas de cacao, lo tuestan, lo pelan, agregan canela y azúcar y lo llevan al molino.  Una vez molido,  las señoras, hacen las tabletas de chocolate, que serán con las que se prepare el chocolate caliente ese día.

A few days ago, I went with my husband to Juchitán, again. Everybody is getting ready for "Día de Muertos". Oaxaca is famous for the hot chocolate. You can prepare it with water or with milk. The wives here, buy cacao seeds, cinnamon and sugar and they take it to a mill. After doing that they make tablets with it.

Mis meses favoritos / My favorite months

Al fin mis meses favoritos están aquí! Octubre, Noviembre y Diciembre. Amo su clima, sus fiestas, su aroma, su comida!!

Finally! Mi favourite months are here!! October, November and December. I love the weather, the smell, the food!

Mi fiesta favorita es el Día de Muertos. Yo nací en Aguascalientes, y en mi ciudad se hace una gran celebración. Se organizan conciertos, paseos por cementerios, obras de teatro...  La Catrina es un personaje muy importante porque su autor, José Guadalupe Posada, nació en Aguascalientes.  El Festival de las Calaveras este año se celebrará del 26 de octubre al 4 de noviembre. My favorite day is "Día de Muertos". I was born in Aguascalientes.  In my city there´s a huge celebration these days.  They organize concerts, parades....
